“After 4 years of infertility due to an autoimmune chronic kidney disease, I finally fell pregnant following IVF. I was already known to the FMM team and they were keen to get involved when I was 8 weeks pregnant when my kidney function declined to 19%.

The team involved in my case made sure I was safe during pregnancy by starting me on dialysis, doing regular growth scans and weekly bloods. The initial goal for my pregnancy was 28 weeks and to deliver baby but we managed to get to 36 weeks and 5 days.

I gave birth to a healthy baby girl and I cannot thank the team enough. Their dedication and hard work was incredible and I felt in safe hands. They communicated efficiently between other professionals involved which allowed me to have a great pregnancy despite my condition. “
