Badger Notes

Badger-Notes-300x175Badger Notes have replaced handheld notes (Green notes).

There are a number of benefits to using Badger Notes over paper notes, these include:

  • Information being shared with the woman/birthing person directly from the maternity system
  • Records can be easily updated at each maternity visit or appointment
  • Midwives do not have to double enter data onto paper handheld notes
  • Only those with the correct login details are able to access the notes.
  • Information can be added by the woman/birthing person such as your occupation/allergies/your birth preferences/feedback on antenatal care, labour and birth experiences.

maxresdefaultBadger Notes tour is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM1xDmEnWys

The woman/birthing person will need to self-refer their pregnancy to:

A woman/birthing person will be asked by maternity services if they have changed their name or address and not informed their GP to do so as referral using this method cannot be progressed until their GP has updated their system. Midwives will provide people with details of how to create their account and access Badger Notes, only those with correct contact details can access notes.

Women/birthing people will also need their NHS Number and may contact their GP surgery to find out what this is.

A GP Guide to BadgerNotes can be accessed here.
